About
After obtaining a master’s degree in Germanic philology, I looked for and found work in the library sector. I worked in various positions successively in administrative, university, public and scientific libraries. In the meantime, I also obtained a bachelor’s degree in Library, Information and Documentation Sciences. Blood is thicker than water, and in 2015 I turned the wheel and started studying languages again. I took my bachelor’s degree in Applied Linguistics at UGent in 2016. In 2015, I regularly volunteered to translate for a number of non-profit organisations. In October 2016, I started working as an independent translator/proofreader.
I immediately started specialising in medical and technical translations. This is a matter of continuous study and effort.
I find translating a fascinating job every day, and I hope to be able to do it for a long time to come.
